The Sub-Zero Coyote/Cat Hunt is a 24 hour competition designed to challenge teams of hunters in the field while celebrating camaraderie and skill. Whether you’re competing for the most coyotes or aiming for the heaviest coyote/cat, this hunt is an opportunity to showcase your abilities and be part of a premier hunting event.

Entry fees go straight back to winners. 1st Place team will receive 60% of the main pot, suppressors, Buckles, and Cutco knives.

Teams will compete based on the most coyotes. Payouts are based on the total number of teams. $200 will be added to the main pot for each 3-person and 4-person team.

Youth Hunter Award

Highest placing team with a youth hunter will win a 1 night guided hog hunt for the team with Kontract Killers. Hunt must be booked in the 2026 calendar year. Youth is defined as an individual under 16 years old at the time the competition starts.

Must be present to win. Each team member will be given a raffle ticket. Tickets will be drawn randomly at the end of weigh in.

The first participant with the matching ticket, will get first choice of one item from the prize table. The second participant with the matching ticket, will get second choice of one item from the prize table. This will continue until all prizes are given away.

Teams must have at least 2 hunters and no more than 4. One-person teams are not allowed. If you start as a 3-person team, you cannot add a fourth member later, so make your decision at registration.

Official Contest Rules

  1. Teams must follow all County, State, and Federal hunting laws. If an individual team member breaks the law, your ENTIRE team WILL be disqualified! (This includes having proper Texas hunting license. A Trapper’s license is NOT required to hunt. It is only required to sell your hides to a fur buyer.)
  2. 4 persons maximum per team, 2 person minimum. Two person teams will pay the same $200 entry fee as a 3 person team. NO ONE-MAN TEAMS
  3. All team members must be present at or before 9:00 AM CST at the weigh-in location to be eligible for prize money or door prizes. No Exceptions!
  4. In the event of a tie for the most coyotes harvested, the tiebreaker will be the heaviest coyote.
  5. All team members must hunt together at all times. No splitting up.
  6. Each hunter may only be on one team.
  7. Every Team member must sign a release of liability at weigh in. If any team member fails to sign a release of liability, the entire team will be disqualified from the entire contest.
  8. Check the dates of the contest and be sure you are available as no refunds will be provided once entered.
  9. All animals must be killed within the 24 hour hunting contest. Video evidence must be provided by winning teams showing the animal is freshly killed and code word stated during the video.  The code word will be texted to the phone number provided at registration.  Text and data rates will apply.
  10. No trapped, snared, caged-raised, or frozen animals will be allowed.
  11. No pooling of animals between teams.
  12. No modifying the weight of animals in any way. We will not weigh wet animals.
  13. Thermal and Nightvision are allowed!
  14. Trolling is not legal! (Driving around while playing caller)
  15. No use of aircraft, drones, or dogs. No Exceptions.
  16. Chasing/running down animals in a motorized vehicle is NOT allowed.
  17. Winning animals are subject to being dissected by judges.
  18. Judges reserve the right to deny entry to anyone for any reason.
  19. Decisions of judges are FINAL! (TO AVOID CONTROVERSY, JUDGES WILL NOT BE HUNTING IN CONTEST)
  20. By signing up for the competition all participants indemnify the contest hosts and administrators from any liability, perceived or actual.
  21. All winners are subject to a polygraph.
  22. All participants are responsible for disposing of any and all animals in a proper manner.  Any participants found disposing animals on public roads will forfeit/return any winnings, be banned from future competitions, and will be reported to the game warden.
  23. Each team is responsible for presenting their heaviest coyote and/or bobcat to be weighed. Only one coyote and one bobcat per team will be weighed.
  24. All animals will be weighed on the same scale by the judges. Judges scale is the only official scale.
  25. Winning teams must take pictures wearing BA Global Defense apparel to collect winnings. Apparel will be provided for pictures.
